Bill Brown Named Chief Information Officer~

Boston (Oct. 7, 2008) - Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE:IRM), the global leader in information protection and storage services, today announced two key senior level management appointments highlighting its continued growth and global expansion. Marc Duale, 56, was named president, international, and William Brown, 53, was named chief information officer.

Since joining Iron Mountain in May 2006, Duale has headed Iron Mountain's European business. In his new role, he will have responsibility for the company's full international portfolio, including business development and operations in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

“There are tremendous growth opportunities for Iron Mountain internationally,” said Bob Brennan, president and CEO of Iron Mountain. “Companies around the world are increasingly seeking our help for records management, secure shredding, and data protection and recovery services. Marc's leadership and ability to develop international markets will help our continued global expansion and grow these critical services around the world.”

Under Duale's leadership, Iron Mountain's European operations grew almost 50 percent from nearly $400 million in 2005 to anticipated revenues of approximately $600 million in 2008. He also oversaw the company's entrance into Switzerland, Greece, Turkey and Russia. In his expanded role, Duale will lead the development of Iron Mountain's presence in South America, Central America, Asia and Australia. He reports to CEO Bob Brennan.

Bill Brown joined Iron Mountain in August 2005 as senior vice president of IT and has since expanded the company's use of technology to support its storage-as-a-service offerings-hosted digital services that enable organizations to reduce their costs and risks of protecting and storing information. His successes include strengthening Iron Mountain's systems for managing customer records, adding tools to better service customers, and reorganizing IT staff to support specific business functions.

As chief information officer, Brown will have overall responsibility for core systems development, computing services and service provisioning for Iron Mountain customers. Chief among his priorities will be to synchronize technology with key business processes and to develop ways the company can increase its capacity for protecting customers' digital data around the world. He also reports to Brennan.

“As Iron Mountain continues to expand its service offerings and global footprint, it is critical to leverage technology to facilitate our growth, while providing customers with the best possible solutions for information protection and storage,” said Brennan. “Since joining Iron Mountain, Bill has demonstrated the ability to develop and enhance internal and customer systems, and I am confident he will play an instrumental role in extending our industry leadership.”
